To put waste source reduction and circular economy principles into practice, WT has established a comprehensive management mechanism for the various types of waste generated during operations. Our waste sources are primarily categorized into “general domestic waste” from office administration and employee daily activities, and “packaging waste” from logistics center operations (including outer cartons, cardboard, and filler materials). For the above waste types, we insist on selecting licensed waste disposal contractors for collection and disposal, ensuring that disposal processes comply with regulatory requirements.
Waste Reduction Implementation Strategy
01Source Reduction
Continuously promote waste classification and reduction at the source, evaluating minimization of waste generation.
02Circular Economy
Collaborate with district management committees to strengthen recycling and enhance reuse of waste resources.
03Establish Waste Management Regulations
Implement standardized waste management regulations to improve environmental sanitation and prevent secondary pollution.
Promoting a green office environment
In cultivating the workplace environment, we actively promote “Green Meeting” and “Office Plastic Reduction” initiatives. For meetings, priority is given to plastic-free and disposable-item-free arrangements — for example, using artificial flowers instead of fresh flowers and glass water cups instead of bottled water — to reduce event waste at the source. To integrate plastic reduction habits into employees’ daily routines, we have installed eco-bag recycling stations at the Zhonghe headquarters, providing a circular sharing mechanism for paper bags, reusable bags, and clean plastic bags, encouraging employees to reuse them and gradually working toward the vision of zero plastic usage.
Deepening waste sorting management
In daily operational management, WT continues to optimize its procurement policies by prioritizing products with durability and recyclability. Through ongoing internal communication and education and training, we strengthen employees’ awareness of waste sorting and resource recycling, striving to achieve the management target of reducing waste by 1% annually.
In 2025, the Company’s operating sites generated 0.88 metric tons of hazardous waste (IC waste), which was processed by a thirdparty collection and disposal company through recycling and reuse. For the disposal of non-hazardous waste, we adopt a dualtrack mechanism of “resource recycling” and “incineration.” IC waste, hard drives, and all categories of recyclable materials are fully recycled and reused, while remaining non-recyclable waste is processed by qualified incineration facilities, achieving 100% zerolandfill waste management performance.
No volatile organic compound emissions
WT Group’s business is electronic components distribution services, which does not involve manufacturing activities. Therefore, there are no emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
2025 waste inventory and carbon emission performance
In 2025, WT Group’s waste inventory statistical scope expanded beyond Taiwan sites and the Hong Kong and Singapore logistics centers to also cover all operating sites in China. Total domestic waste amounted to 213.18 metric tons. In terms of resource recycling, the Taiwan region’s recycled waste — including ICs, hard drives, and Nankan warehouse recyclables — totaled approximately 5.08 metric tons, with 100% processed for recycling and reuse by qualified contractors. Indirect GHG emissions from waste disposal were also calculated. In 2025, the total Scope 3 carbon emissions from domestic waste at Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, and Singapore sites amounted to 72.4771 t-CO2e. For waste statistics at WT’s Taiwan operating sites and the Hong Kong and Singapore logistics centers, domestic waste increased from 125.07 metric tons in 2024 to 128.72 metric tons in 2025, primarily due to an increase in the number of employees within the statistical scope. Going forward, we will continue to track waste sorting management and data monitoring, and improve the Group’s environmental performance in waste management through enhanced resource utilization.
2023–2025 waste statistics
Notes: 1.Domestic waste for certain regions is estimated based on the per-unit-area domestic waste generation rate at WT’s main Taiwan operating sites. 2.Recycled waste is compiled from the Taiwan Zhonghe operating site. Recycled material categories (non-hazardous) include: paper for water pulping, aluminum and steel cans and plastic containers, decommissioned hard drives, office equipment, and cardboard boxes. Statistics are compiled through weighing by qualified contractors, with confirmation that waste has been properly processed by disposal operators. 3.The increase in recycling volume in 2024 was primarily due to the centralized execution of paper water pulping operations followed by reuse during that year. As this type of waste is accumulated to a certain quantity before being collectively processed, the 2025 processing cycle had not been reached, resulting in a corresponding decrease in recycling volume. 4.The waste inventory will be extended to major overseas operating sites (U.S., Canada, etc.) in the future.
